How are lessons taught and accessed?

Lessons are taught in live classrooms in small groups of 10 or fewer students per class. All lessons are accessed through our online learning platform, with the classroom accessible on the course page for each subject. Students will have access to their dashboard calendar and timetables through the platform so they can see when their lessons are scheduled, when homework is due, and any important announcements for the class. Lessons are scheduled at set weekly times, but students can choose to watch them on-demand at a later date if they are unable to attend the class live, providing flexibility around time zones and their schedules.

What if I can't attend lessons live?

If students are unable to attend their classes live due to timing or any other reasons, they can easily access the lesson recordings on demand at any time through our online learning platform. Lesson recordings can also be used for revision and reflecting on previous topics to help build understanding and develop knowledge. Recordings are normally uploaded at the end of the day, so students can access them whenever they need them. If pupils are unable to attend a lesson, we do ask that they inform the teacher or the help desk so that we are aware of their absence. While we do encourage attending classes live to get the best out of learning, we understand this isn't possible for everyone.

What are the features of your online learning platform?

Our online learning platform provides a hub for everything students need while studying with us. It has been designed to be easy to navigate, with a student-friendly layout that makes it easy to find what they are looking for. The features of our online learning platform include access to: live classes, on-demand lesson recordings, timetables, announcements, lesson schedules, homework, grades, teacher feedback, attendance, competitions/events, term dates, additional learning resources, and more. Pupils gain access to our online learning platform in their welcome pack after enrolling with us, allowing them to explore the platform before their first class. You can also trial our platform through our free 7-day trial that enables you to experience our online school's features first-hand.

How many subjects should I choose?

Students have full control over the number of subjects and which subjects they would like to study with us, so it is up to them what they are interested in. We offer flexible full-time and part-time study options, with full-time packages including up to 9 subjects for primary school and secondary school, and up to 3 subjects for sixth form, with a 4th subject available to be added. It is recommended to study the core subjects as a minimum for primary and secondary school students: English, maths, and science. This is because they form the basis of children's learning, building essential skills for their futures. We have a variety of subejcts availabe from primary to sixth form, including a range of languages, creative, and technology-based subjects.

Who does our online school teach?

Eureka Learning online school is available for students aged 5 to 18. The school is split into 3 main stages: primary school, secondary school, and sixth form. We follow the British Education System, so children start primary school at the age of 5, before moving on to secondary school at age 11, and finally moving on to sixth form at age 16. Students complete their sixth form education at the age of 18 after sitting their A-level exams. Our online school is available internationally to students worldwide, offering a variety of subjects including a range of international GCSE and A-level courses tailored to the Cambridge and Edexcel exam boards.

What exam board do you follow?

Our online school offers a variety of international GCSE and A-level courses for the Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge exam boards. Students can choose which exam board to study towards, depending on which is most convenient for them. Which exam board they choose will depend on what local centres are available, which subjects they are looking to study, and whether they would like the option to do online exams. Pearson Edexcel recently introduced on-screen assessments for a limited number of subjects, meaning some exams can be sat from home. Our exam centres page provides some more information on these topics. Before studying GCSEs in years 10 and 11, our online school follows the UK National and Cambridge curricula in primary school and years 7 to 9 in secondary school.
