Creative Subjects
Primary to Lower Secondary School
Our online school offers Music and Art as creative subjects for our primary school and lower secondary school students, helping children get started in their creative journey through exploring the many opportunities for creative expression, imagination, artistic techniques, creative styles, and more. Students are provided with the creative skills they need to pursue further education in the creative sector, learning about composition, self-expression, and emotional response to prompts. Children are encouraged to take inspiration from other artists, helping them craft their own unique creative style.

In primary school, children will learn the fundamentals of their chosen creative subject(s), providing a foundation of learning to move on to secondary school with. Then in KS3 (years 7 to 9) they will build on their creative skills and hone their abilities as they explore further into their chosen creative medium(s). Students can then move into their IGCSE years with confidence, having built a strong basis for their understanding of creative subjects.
Upper Secondary School
Edexcel International GCSEs
For upper secondary school in years 10 and 11, we offer a selection of international GCSE creative subjects for the Edexcel exam board. These courses include: fine art, photography, and graphic communications. In upper secondary school, students build upon the creative foundation built in earlier years, helping them to hone their artistic skills no matter the pathway they choose. We have the widest selection of creative subjects, offering more flexibility around the futures students are looking to head towards. Our newest creative subject is graphic communications, specialising in anime and manga, after receiving high student interest.

Choosing your creative subjects

The video above shares insights into the different creative subject options available at an IGCSE level (ages 14 to 16), including fine art, graphic communications, and photography. Graphic communications, our newest subject, specialises in manga and anime, making it perfect for students looking to progress into animation, writing, and the industry of anime/manga/comics. You don't have to only pick one! You can study as many of the creative subjects as you like, with part-time and full-time study options available to suit your schedule.
