Student Community
Eureka Learning has a strong focus on student community and leadership opportunities, enabling children to grow their confidence, develop communication skills, and flourish into kind and respectful young adults. Our online school creates social opportunities inside and outside of classes through assemblies and our new social hub, all of which are easily accessible in one place on our online learning platform.

At Eureka Learning, students are part of more than just an online classroom. Through assemblies, school communications, collaborative lessons, and opportunities to connect with peers, we help create a welcoming and supportive community where every learner feels valued.
Community at Eureka Learning
Bringing Students Together
Although students learn remotely, they remain connected through regular school-wide activities and shared experiences. From assemblies and celebrations to classroom discussions and group projects, students have opportunities to engage with both their teachers and fellow learners throughout the academic year.

School Assemblies
Celebrating Success & School Life
Assemblies provide an opportunity for students across the school to come together as one community. We host regular primary school, secondary school, and sixth form assemblies separately for each, and we also host collaborative assemblies for special events across the school stages.

Assemblies may include:
-
Student achievements and awards
-
Celebration of academic success
-
School announcements and updates
-
Inspirational talks and guest speakers
-
Awareness days and special events
-
Opportunities for student participation

These sessions help students feel connected to the wider school and provide a shared experience across year groups.
School Newsletters
Keeping Students & Families Informed
Our regular school newsletters help students and parents stay up to date with everything happening across the school community

The newsletter may feature:
-
Student achievements
-
Examination successes
-
School news and announcements
-
Upcoming events and holidays
-
Student contributions and stories
-
Important dates and reminders

This creates a strong link between students, families, and the wider school community.
Social Opportunities
Building Friendships Online
Online learning does not mean learning alone. Students regularly interact with peers during live lessons, collaborative activities, discussions, and group work. These opportunities encourage communication, teamwork, and friendship-building within a safe and supportive environment. The benefits of this include meeting like-minded students, working together on projects, developing communication skills, building confidence in discussions, and creating meaningful peer connections.
Student Voice & Leadership
Ensuring Every Student Is Heard
At Eureka Learning, student feedback also plays an important role in shaping the learning experience. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas, and suggestions, helping us continually improve and ensuring our learners feel heard and valued within our community. Our suggestion box enables learners to submit their ideas for review, which we then take on board and implement where suitable.

Additionally, we have introduced a student council for both our primary school and secondary school. Each academic year, students submit their student council applications, and then we host a voting period for other learners to vote for whom they would like to represent their year group. The council then meets on a regular basis to discuss ideas, ways for improvement, and what features would be good to introduce to create the best online community for our students. This creates a collaboration between our teachers and students, helping to continuously improve our online school based on feedback from our pupils, so they can get the best out of their education.
A Supportive Learning Environment
Learning Together
Our community is built on mutual respect, encouragement, and inclusivity. Teachers and staff work closely with students to create an environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, participating in lessons, and reaching their full potential. Whether joining us or studying individual subjects, every student becomes part of the Eureka Learning community.

"Fantastic for children being home schooled due to anxiety or ADHD which can make normal school too stress inducing."
